While Marilyn is busily escorting her happy travelers around beautiful Croatia, those of us in the office are filling in on this week’s blog.
A common pastime of ours in the office is sharing funny memes or signs that we see on social media. We realized that in our travels we’d come across our share of “interesting” sights, foods, experiences that we happened to capture “on film” (do they even MAKE film anymore?).
Here is a sampling of some of our musings:
Posted by Howard: On a trip to Hong Kong several years ago, I encountered this sign and had to snap a photo. Apparently, it is a popular practice in China. While I was intrigued, I resisted the desire to try it for myself.
Posted by Ellen: I’m not a particularly religious person, but this shrine in a Catholic church in Croatia made me chuckle due to the placement of the angels at the bottom hem – almost looks like one’s looking up her dress!
Posted by Gabriel: Nothing like being ASKED to photobomb a group of Chinese tourists’ scenic pic in Santorini.
Posted by Whitney: “I think I’ll have the #80 and an order of “The Fried!”
Posted by Howard: As seen in Ravello, Italy. What more do you need?
Posted by Ellen: This is just a small sampling of the creepy mannequins of Dubai – all of them were blonde haired and blue eyed (unless they were wearing sunglasses, that is!) And their “makeup” was so beautifully done – pouty, glossy lips; perfectly shaped brows; and smoky eyes!
Posted by Gabriel: Is this statue lactating? Interesting “spout” placement on this fountain in Italy. And the look on her face… freaky!
Posted by Whitney: Just a man, his horse, and a big-ol’ American flag… in Argentina.
Posted by Howard: These two photos can definitely be filed under the category of “only in New Orleans”. They sure do love their Saints (and huge ass beers!).
Posted by Ellen: Don’t mind animals wandering freely in India – no one else seems to!
Posted by Gabriel: Nothing like a quaint pose with two adorable Italian Nonnas… and a pair of panties hanging out to dry!
Posted by Whitney: There are no words. Taken in Santorini, Greece.
Posted by Ellen: Now THAT’S some efficient wiring – said no one in Delhi, ever.
Posted by Whitney: **Looks in mirror** “Yep, this is definitely the outfit for a train ride.” In Peru.
Posted by Gabriel: Is THIS what you do with the business class amenities?
Posted by Whitney: I guess this landscaper in Rome, Italy, was going with the Lion King theme!
