There’s lots of fabulous attractions in mainland Croatia and Slovenia – and this week-long itinerary covers the highlights with the perfect amount of leisure time for independent exploration. The first two nights, on the island of Pag, you’ll enjoy the serenity of a romantic, family-owned hotel with a gourmet restaurant and well-regarded winery, set in peaceful gardens. Opatija is a coastal resort, dotted with belle-époque villas from the Austro-Hungarian Empire. And we’ll conclude with two nights in Ljubljana, the picturesque, pedestrian-friendly capital of Slovenia.
Along the way, we’ll stroll through Plitvice National Park, hunt for truffles in Motovun, explore Venetian-like Rovinj, tour the jaw-dropping Postojna Cave system and visit picturesque Lake Bled.

If you are NOT doing the Croatia Cruise prior to this itinerary, a 1-night stay in Split is required the night of June 29th. This overnight is not included in the package price.

SAT, June 30 | From Split to Zadar to the island of Pag
From our meeting point in Split, we’ll depart this morning to Zadar, a historical Dalmatian town with a modern new highlight: the Sea Organ. Free time in Zadar. An hour’s drive north is the island of Pag where we’ll stay for two nights at the Boskinac Hotel & Winery, featured in Anthony Bourdain’s “No Reservations.” Of the food and wine in Croatia his favorite expression was, ”Holy s*** that’s good!” After sampling the Chef’s multi-course tasting menu, you’ll agree!

Today, visit an ancient olive grove on the northern-most part of the island, for an olive oil tasting and guided tour of the estate.
MON, July 2 | From Pag to Plitvice Lakes to Opatija
Highlight of today’s journey is Plitvice, a UNESCO-protected national park famous for its 16 cascading lakes. We’ll walk for a few hours on elevated wooden platforms to experience some of the world’s most gorgeous scenes. It’s a “wow” (world of waterfalls)!
Continue to Opatija, where we’ll enjoy three nights in a sea-view room at the Hotel Palace Bellevue.
TUE, July 3 | Explore Opatija
Enjoy this day at leisure. We’ll have a leisurely walking tour of the seaside promenade, main park and old Austrian villas of this pleasant resort town – a favorite of European royalty from 170 years ago.
WED, July 4 | Explore the Istrian Peninsula
During this full-day excursion to Croatia’s “Tuscany,” you’ll discover 6th-century basilicas to visit, mosaics to marvel over, cobblestone streets to scamper and truffles to hunt!
THU, July 5 | From Opatija to Postojna Caves to Ljubljana, Slovenia
We’ll head further north into Slovenia, where we’ll visit Postojna caves and make a photo stop of Predjama Castle. Arrive in Ljubljana late this afternoon and check into Hotel Cubo for the next two nights. Later, a surprise!
FRI, July 6 | Explore Ljubljana and Lake Bled
Enjoy time at leisure in Ljubljana and lunch on your own. Later in the afternoon we’ll head to world-famous Lake Bled and enjoy a farewell dinner with a magnificent view.

PACKAGE COST:
$3,345 per person, double occupancy (couple or roommate share)
$3,995 per person, single occupancy
AIR TRANSPORTATION:
You may make your own flight arrangements or we can assist with a $50 per person service fee. We cannot book mileage tickets or upgrades, which must be done directly with the carrier. If you would like us to assist, contact Howard Wise at howard@thectpgroup.com or call him at 818-444-2710.
It is the responsibility of the traveler to provide the legal name as on the passport. Passport must be valid for six months from return date. Carriers may deny boarding if name on ticket does not match name on passport.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
Space is limited and reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. An initial deposit of $950 is due at registration. Final payment due March 23, 2018.
CANCELLATION:
If unforeseen events happen that force you to cancel, we will try to resell your space. Penalties vary depending on the date of cancellation:
*If we are able to fill your place, we will refund all monies, less a $250 per person administrative fee.
SUPPLEMENTAL TRAVEL INSURANCE FOR TRIP CANCELLATION/INTERRUPTION:
We recommend insurance to cover financial penalties if you need to cancel your trip. Information will be provided upon receipt of deposit.
RATES:
All rates quoted are based on pricing and exchange rates in effect as of November 2017 and are subject to change. Rates are based on a minimum group size of 20 paying guests. Should the group size be smaller than this, package price or inclusions may be modified. Unused tour items, missed meals or tours, etc. are not refundable.
TIPS AND TAXES:
The package includes all service charges and taxes imposed by hotels and all entrance fees to museums, etc. Basic gratuities to drivers, guides and porters are included. You are welcome to extend additional gratuities for anyone who has provided exemplary service.
BAGGAGE:
Please check applicable baggage allowances and fees with your airline carrier.
PASSPORT:
You must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of re-entry to your home country.
HEALTH/VACCINATIONS:
Consult your physician for recommendations. Additional information regarding Traveler’s Health precautions is available at the website for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS:
Final travel documents will be sent to your mailing address about two weeks prior to departure.

I understand that CTP/WOW reserves the right to refuse as a trip participant, or remove from a trip, any person it judges to be incapable of meeting the rigors and requirements of participating in activities, or who it determines to detract from the enjoyment of the trip by others. I agree to follow all written and verbal rules of safety presented to me by CTP/WOW. CTP/WOW reserves the right to make route, hotel, itinerary and trip modifications as required or desirable to improve the trip quality and/or to accommodate the comfort and well-being of guests.
CTP/WOW reserves the right to alter or cancel any trip due to weather, sickness, political climate, and/or insufficient registration or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. While CTP/WOW will make every effort to obtain full or partial refunds from suppliers, CTP/WOW cannot guarantee your ability to recoup payment.

Payment of the deposit OR any other partial payment for registration of a participant for CTP/WOW activities constitutes consent by all guests/participants registered by the party completing on-line registration. You and your guests/participants hereby agree to the Terms & Conditions of this website. The Terms & Conditions set forth on this website may not be modified or amended except in writing by an authorized officer of CTP/WOW.
All guests/participants are required to initial and sign a Release Waiver and Indemnity Agreement, which will be sent upon receipt of your deposit.
