Howard and I (Whitney) are currently sitting in the lounge of this lovely river cruise ship, docked in the charming town of Petit Andelys, France … laptops out and hard at work.
When work is cruising down the Seine River with a group of 50 wonderful people … life is good.
Marilyn is handing the blog over to the rest of our CTP team while she focuses on getting back to 100%. I am by no means the writer our fearless leader is… however I do love photos! So, I’m gladly stepping in to share some of our favorite moments from this trip – starting with Bruges.
If you’ve read the blog the past two weeks (Poop! and Re: Poop!), you know all about Marilyn’s current situation, and how our team stepped in with a couple hours notice to take her place managing one of her absolute favorite client’s biyearly programs.
The trip was planned as follows:
As you can imagine, there was a lot that needed to be arranged/caught up on – especially since neither Gabriel nor I had much involvement in the planning process that Marilyn and Howard began about a year ago.
So, in short, this is how we handled it:
To sum up what was a very crazy, emotional, fun, did I mention crazy? past 2 weeks… the program was très fantastique!
Starting at the beginning, here are a few of our favorite snapshots of the wonderful group and destinations.
Gabriel and I might as well have been ships passing in the night … so I didn’t have the chance to get the full run-down of his time in Bruges, however he was able to email me a few photos before jetting off again (this time to India!). Here are a few of his highlights:
No trip to Bruges is complete without a horse-drawn carriage ride through the fairy tale cobblestone streets…
…or cruising the canals!
The typical sights around town – chocolate & bubbles breakfast, bikes, medieval-style towers.
And of course, we had to make sure Marilyn made an appearance!
Did you notice??

Not bad, huh?
Photoshopping credit to our amazing man on the ground – for the Bruges/Amsterdam portion of the trip – Victor!
I’ll unfortunately have to cut this blog short because we still have a lot to do (and see and taste!) here in France, but stay tuned next week for the second installment of the trip.
Au revoir!

Next to Salzburg in Austria, Bruge is my favorite small city in Western Europe.
