Day Two – July 30th – Split to Korčula
In the morning, departure from Split and cruise toward the Island of Korčula, best known as the birthplace of Marco Polo. Stop for lunch in one of the secluded bays en route. Early afternoon arrival in Korčula followed by a guided walking tour of the enchanting fortified town. Korčula has an abundance of restaurants for a great dining experience. Dinner on own.

Day Three – July 31st – Korčula to Mljet to Dubrovnik
Today we’ll head further south to the Island of Mljet. Join our cruise manager for a stroll to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park and enjoy the boat ride to St. Mary Isle to visit an ancient Benedictine monastery. Alternatively, you can rent kayaks or bicycles to roam around the National Park or island on your own. Return to the vessel for lunch, followed by departure towards Dubrovnik. Late afternoon arrival in Dubrovnik, with an evening cruise alongside the old city walls while a buffet dinner is served on deck. Enjoy the spectacular views of this magnificent ancient town.

Day Four – August 1st – Dubrovnik
Today we’ll explore Dubrovnik – one of the most picturesque cities you’ll ever see. We’ll transfer into town for a guided walking tour, including the cable car ascent to Srđ mountain to enjoy scenic views of the City Walls and Elaphiti Islands. The balance of the day is free for independent exploration and an opportunity to find idyllic spots for lunch and dinner.

Day Five – August 2nd – Dubrovnik to Pelješac Peninsula
Early morning departure towards the Pelješac Peninsula, home to Croatia’s best-known red wines: Dingač and Postup. Before lunch, we’ll make a short stop at one of the Elaphiti Islands and afternoon arrival to Pelješac peninsula. Today, move away from the shore inland to explore the rural areas. Afternoon transfer to the village, followed by a visit to a local farm to indulge in a typical village party with Croatian delicacies, an all-inclusive farm-to-table dinner. Late transfer back to the vessel.

Day Six – August 3rd – Pelješac Peninsula to Hvar
Morning departure toward Hvar. Lunch stop on the small Island of Šćedro, followed by a swim stop at the Pakleni Islands. Spend the afternoon and evening on Hvar – the longest island in the Adriatic and one of the sunniest; known for lavish lavender fields and breathtaking beauty. Hike up to the town fort overlooking the harbor to get some lovely scenic views or sit in the city center of Hvar and do a little people watching. In the evening Hvar offers an abundance of entertainment – many restaurants, bars and cafes are open long into the night.

Day Seven – August 4th – Hvar to Bol (Brač) to Milna or Pučišća
Today’s destination is the Island of Brač and the picturesque town of Bol. Walk along the promenade or swim at one of the most famous beaches in Dalmatia–Zlatni Rat (the Golden cape-known for its gravel promontory, shifts from side to side as the wind and waves constantly change its shape). Bol is a typical fishermen’s town turned into a popular tourist destination. After lunch on board, time at leisure until wine tasting. Our guests will sail aboard the m/v Dream, a deluxe motor vessel. Just under 132 feet long, the ship features 20 cabins that are designed for a maximum of 40 guests (however, we’re limiting ours to an intimate 28). A crew of seven professional, friendly Croatians will attend to your every need.
Entry level cabins are a comfortable 130 sq ft with fabulous features and amenities; all rooms have remote-control air-conditioning, safety deposit box, a spacious bathroom with a shower, and comfy beds. There’s a small closet and plenty of under-bed storage. The dining room is modern and bright, and the Sun Deck is outfitted with plenty of lounge chairs and ample space for sunning or gathering.

Pricing:
All prices quoted are based on tariffs and exchange rates in effect as of April 12, 2022, and are subject to change. Rates are based on a minimum group size of 24 paying guests. Should the group size(s) fall below this minimum number, package price or inclusions may be modified. Unused tour items, missed meals or activities, etc. are not refundable.
Tips and Taxes:
The package includes all service charges, taxes and entrance fees etc. Basic gratuities to drivers, guides, cruise staff and porters are included. You are welcome to extend additional gratuities for anyone who has provided exemplary service.
Baggage:
Please check applicable baggage allowances and fees with your international airline carrier. Overweight luggage and/or additional checked bags can be purchased directly from the airlines.
Passport/Visa:
You must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of re-entry to your home country. Please ensure you have at least six blank pages in your passport
Health / Vaccinations:
We are constantly monitoring requirements for travel to Croatia and will advise if COVID vaccinations and/or a negative test is required for entry. As of March 2023, Croatia does not require a negative COVID test or proof of vaccination, nor does the United States require a negative PCR-COVID test to re-enter the country.

What is a day on the ship like?
If you were to drive from Dubrovnik to Split, it’s only 150 miles – so there’s not a big distance to cover at sea. We cruise only during daylight hours and dock in different ports each night. We visit lovely, historic and picturesque towns and islands, with walking tours conducted by local guides at each location. As always, our itinerary avoids the “big” ships as much as possible.
What about Wi-Fi?
If you must stay connected during your trip, Wi-Fi is free and reliable everywhere on the ship.
What will the weather be like?
The weather in Croatia in August is especially lovely with about 10 hours of sunshine per day. With an average high-temperature of 82.2° and an average low-temperature of 71.2°, the end of July, beginning of August is the warmest time to visit. The average ocean temperature is 73°!
What about airfare?

How are cabins assigned?
The entry level cabin is a lovely cabin on the lower deck with porthole windows; upgrades are available – see the cabin chart under the “Our Ship” heading, above. You will be prompted to select cabin type when registering. If you have a special need or request, please email ellen@wowtravelclub.com.
What is the dress code?
There is no need for formal attire, just stylish, smart/resort casual. For daytime, comfortable, casual clothing and shoes/sandals are suggested. Be sure to pack your bathing suits, hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses! Also, Croatian beaches are pebbly vs. sandy, so water shoes are suggested.
Will I need an adaptor to plug in my appliances and chargers on the ship?
Yes. For Croatia there are two associated plug types, types C and F. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins and plug type F is the plug which has two round pins with two earth clips on the side. Croatia operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz. Most cell phone and computer chargers allow for voltage between 110 and 230 so you will only need an adapter for the plugs.
Can I use my cell phone in Croatia and on the ship?
With most providers, it’s best to activate an international data and telephone plan. We suggest that you contact your carrier to discuss potential costs for data and voice communications. WIFI is complimentary on the Dream.
Should I be concerned about sea sickness?
The Dream vessel is equipped with stabilizers that make for a very smooth ride. The entire cruising distance is approximately 150 miles, with very little time in the open sea. With that said – know yourself and your own tolerances.
Here is what a couple of our previous “cruisers” had to say:
“To those other fearful sailors out there, I would recommend bringing Trader Joe’s ginger chews and some bags of ginger tea. My cabin was below the water line and I did feel the motion when we were moored, even with the patch. I would say the patch helped but withdrawal symptoms when I stopped using it would deter me from using it again.Best remedy: early morning vinyasa yoga on the sun deck. Exercise is a good counter movement to the rocking. And doing Sun salutations while watching the sunrise gave me positive vibes all day. “
“I was surprised at how well I did on the boat. There were a couple times that I used the ginger candy which was quite helpful. I was rather skeptical about ginger’s anti-nausea effects but will always carry some when I’m on a boat.”
What is the currency?
Although Croatia joined the European Union in 2013, they country still uses its own currency, the Kuna (HRK), instead of the Euro. Some places will accept Euros as payment since Croatia is mostly frequented by European visitors. We suggest using ATM machines to withdraw local currency as needed and use your credit or debit card to pay for meals, taxis and purchases. (Some shops and restaurants do not accept American Express.) It’s best to advise your bank and credit card company of your plans to travel to Croatia so there will be no suspicion of fraudulent activity. Ask about transaction fees.
As of this writing (4/12/22), one US Dollar will get you approximately 6.6 Kuna. For reference, a local bottle of beer in a cafe should run you about 15-20 Kuna or $2.00 – $4.00. We suggest downloading a currency conversion app on your phone.

We’d highly recommend it! It is easy to extend your visit by an extra day or two at the beginning in Split or the end in Dubrovnik – or both! We can easily assist you with all the arrangements.
